Studio NEST
Dan Tsu and Hugo Harvey began collaborating after Hugo took part in Studio NEST, Dan's programme for early-career creative freelancers. They met through the programme, and once it concluded they started talking about making an audio project together.
Both were driven by a desire to create something rigorous that could bring creative arts and social purpose into the same room. Those conversations became Radical Listening Party.
Radical Listening Party is one of the projects taking flight from that nest.
Lyrix Organix
Taking on the culture of power with the power of culture.
Lyrix Organix is an acclaimed creative agency, youth development company and independent curator of music, rap and spoken word. For over a decade they've built platforms where artists, audiences and organisers meet, from festival stages to schools, prisons and youth centres.
Their stages have hosted legendary early performances by Akala, Kae Tempest, Greentea Peng, Kojey Radical, Ed Sheeran, Lowkey and many more.
They host a major late-night stage at Glastonbury Festival (the infamous 'Rum Shack'), deliver consultancy for Youth Music's Industry Connect, and run inspirational curated talks and youth education programmes with the likes of Roundhouse, BIMM London and the British Council worldwide.
Radical Listening Party is the podcast expression of that mission: bringing artists and organisers, musicians and politicians into the same room, and putting the conversation out uncut.
Dan Tsu
Dan Tsu is an artistic director, workshop facilitator and the founder of Lyrix Organix. He is co-producing Radical Listening Party and shaping its creative direction, bringing more than 15 years of platforming young creatives and building bridges between music, education and activism.
From running spoken-word stages to delivering artist development programmes across the UK and internationally, Dan's work is rooted in the belief that culture can reshape power, and that the next generation of creatives deserve both support and a platform.
Youth Music
Radical Listening Party is funded by a Youth Music grant. Youth Music is the national charity investing in grassroots music and young creatives across the UK.
Their funding supports projects that create life-changing music-making opportunities for young people, particularly those who might otherwise miss out. From community studios to festivals, youth clubs to digital platforms, Youth Music backs the infrastructure that lets emerging artists and behind-the-scenes talent build sustainable careers.
Immigrant Island Dubplates
The same creative lineage that feeds Radical Listening Party can be heard in Immigrant Island Dubplates, a project by Dan Tsu and Lyrix Organix that weaves together migration stories, live music and spoken word into a singular radio-style experience.
Like Radical Listening Party, it treats the interview not as a Q&A but as a space for testimony, artistry and unexpected connection. The project has been released as a series of podcast episodes on Spotify.
